I heart Market is a community of makers. For 12 years, we’ve been creating a platform for local design, craft, fashion and food. I heart Market is the anti-mall – providing a retail space for local creatives, that is also a great day out in Durban. On market day, Durbanites and visitors, friends and family gather at I heart Market to meet the makers, people watch, eat great food and support local artisans and crafters. Peruse our Trader Directory to get an idea of the type of traders we have on board.
I heart Market takes place on the first Saturday of every month from 8:30 AM to 2 PM. The exception is in December when we hold more markets before the Christmas dates.
From time to time we may have other market events at different venues.
To confirm these dates – cast your eye over to our Facebook events.
I heart Market takes place at The Hay Store in the Point Waterfront.
Parking is available on the street or at uShaka Marine World. Park on the South side of uShaka parking and there is a gate just across the road from the Hay Store.
There is no entrance fee. Everybody is welcome!
We have put together a collection of the best creatives. You’ll find a wide range of different products that are all locally designed and produced and of great quality. Expect fashion, jewellery, home decor, kiddies wear, plants, natural skincare, deli goods, accessories, vintage collectables, art, ceramics and delicious foods.
You’ll find that many traders accept cards. Most have scan and pay options. All traders also accept cash. There are ATMs situated at Moses Mabhida Stadium so we encourage you to draw cash in advance.
Not every vendor trades at every market. Pop past our INFO table, situated next to the DJ and we will try and locate the vendor for you.
You can see our traders and their details on our Trader Directory
If you don’t know the trader’s name then please pop us a mail on firstname.lastname@example.org and give us as much info as possible so that we can point you in the right direction. ie: where the stall is situated, a detailed description of what they sell etc.
For sure! We never miss a market so you’ll always find us on the first Saturday of the month.
